Whoa what a crazy topic tonight. I think we all had examples of how we have seen the fingerprints of Satan in our lives.
But we have his playbook and his tricks are old!
Suggestion, Temptation, Rationalization, Deception, Accusation, and Persecution are nothing new to us. We can now stand and fight with the TRUTH that has been given to us by God!
Satan’s suggestions always go to your need in the moment. God’s man should audibly counter with, “Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar” (Proverbs 30:5-6).
Answer the following questions when tempted this week:
- Where am I when I am most tempted or vulnerable?
- Who am I with? or not with?
- How am I feeling? (Tired, lonely, bored, stressed, conflicted, angry, boxed in discouraged, etc.)
- What time of day is it?
- Am I in conflict with anybody?
- What are my core insecurities, fears, or triggers?
- What situations cause me to get defensive?

Happy birthday Bryan. Today is Bryan’s birthday which we will be celebrating promptly after group.
We went through chapter 8 lacking only one member. He had a good excuse though, his wife just had a baby! We all are trying to wrap our heads around the fact that there are demonic forces behind the temtaions we face.

This Monday night started with pizza, Dr. Pepper, and a blueprint of the pimp. Criminals always leave fingerprints and Satan is no different. Keep your eyes open men. Don’t always expect to see one big obvious print but watch for the small ones. They are harder to spot but build up to trap you. Stay in the truth, strengthing yourself in wisdom so you will not be decieved by the great pimp.
Be praying for that “plus one” in our group and the other groups.

We had a 100% turn out tonight, some great discussion, and a few “ah ha” moments. I gave the guys the update about the pimp sightings and Kevin emailed us yesterday to tell us his car wouldn’t start due to a dead battery. Pretty weird!

Well we were the first group to meet tonight and we had a record turn out of three! It was myself, Kyle, and Bryan. The other guys didn’t show, Kevin had a dentist appointment that he forgot about and Tim’s son Landen wasn’t feeling well so he had to take him to the urgent care.
Be in prayer men. Satan does not want us to read this book and he will try everything in his bag of tricks to keep us from it!
