The Great Pimp,
Below is an excerpt from page #6 of Kenny Luck’s book, Fight. This blog page of our Man Group blog has been dedicated to our own personal recordings of what we like to call “Pimp-Sightings.” Satan, the Evil One, is The Great Pimp and when we step things up a notch in our own spiritual lives to get closer to God he tries to get God’s Man to return to a form of manageable and ineffective spiritual laziness. Well recently, our Men’s Group (eight guys) stepped things up a notch and grew to 45+ men this summer and we are beginning to feel a bit of what Kenny is talking about below in our own personal lives. Our original ONE small group of 8 guys is now under attack because we have banded together to reach out to the 45+ guys we’ve now placed in SEVEN separate small groups. Hopefully this will give you a taste of what we’ve been dealing with lately, before we even opened up to page #1 of Fight!

Repeatedly the message from Satan was, “I know who you are and what you intend to do.” A little preemptive retaliation is consistent warfare doctrine among sovereigns who feel that the security of their networks or borders is about to be compromised in some way. These shots across the bow were intended to say, “Do you really want this? You might want to reconsider.” Throughout this time God’s Spirit has said, “Reconsider this!” like we read the fourth chapter of Luke’s Gospel when Jesus quit listening and started rebuking evil suggestions and ploys. Well, my friend, I am still here dialoguing with you on these pages, and Satan still knows where I live. Boo0ya!
I wanted you to know a little thunder has been rolling my way, but I expected this. I knew all hell would break loose before, during, and after my decision to focus an entire manuscript on outing the Devil and equipping you to effectively confront and defeat him. I knew the Devil loathes being discovered the way any terrorist would be incensed at the man who blew his cover. I knew that the Great Pimp has a big ego matched only by that noxious chip on his shoulder toward believers. I knew that anyone who actively pulls his masks off to expose his presence is asking for a double helping of ire and indignation.

Here is a record of our “Pimp-Sightings” as we have started to read this book, Fight by Kenny Luck. We are not saying any/all of this is caused by the Evil One at all. We are not saying that the Evil One is behind every BAD thing that ever happens to us in the world. But we ARE saying that these are the things (below) that have happened to each of us all in ONE WEEK . . . the same week that 45+ God’s Men decide to read a book called Fight: Are you willing to pick a FIGHT with EVIL? And so why don’t you judge for yourself:
Monday, Sept. 21 (5:15pm)
Received a call about a “Pimp-Sighting” in Glendora, CA from Small Group Leader #1 of 7: He was unable to attend the first Small Group meeting (starting in 15 minutes) because his 2-year old was having asthmatic breathing issues. Thankfully we lead together in pairs of 2′s so the other leader was able to meet the new Small Group guys that night.
Monday, Sept. 21 (8:00am)
Received a call about a “Pimp-Sighting” in Glendora, CA from Small Group Leader #2 of 7: Apparently, he walked out to his 2-year old truck and the engine was completely dead. The engine refused to turn over, taking away transportation for the day (difficult to get to Night #1 of Small Group).
Monday, Sept. 21 (7:00pm)
Received a call about a “Pimp-Sighting” in Pasadena, CA from Small Group Leader #3 of 7: This leader stepped into his car on his way to Night #1 of his small group and his car battery died. Had to borrow a car to get to small group on time that night because he was responsible for picking up two other men for small group. When asked about the sighting, the leader was quoted saying, “Wasn’t about to be stopped though, borrowed another car and made it happen!” Thankfully again, we lead together in pairs of 2′s so the other leader was able to be there on time for the rest of the Small Group guys that night.
Monday, Sept. 21 (5:30pm)
Received a call about a “Pimp-Sighting” in Claremont, CA from Small Group Leader #5 of 7: This leader was driving home after work on Monday and his car stalled and died in the middle of Arrow Hwy on his way home during rush-hour traffic. His group doesn’t meet until Wednesday, Sept. 23 but was this an odd coincidence? I think not!
Tuesday, Sept. 22 (10:00am)
When discussing the events of Monday, Sept. 22 with Leader #6 of 7 . . . Leader #2 came to find out that Leader #6 has been having to turn the key of his car 2 to 3 times just to get it started. Dashboard lights are popping up now and there are more car issues. Leader #6 of 7 doesn’t meet until Wednesday and thankfully made it to small group on time and safely.
Tuesday, Sept. 22 (11:00pm)
Received a call the following morning (Wednesday) about a “Pimp-Sighting” in Glendora, CA & Montclair, CA from both Small Group Leaders of Group #5 of 7: They reported having nightmare-ish and troubling dreams the night before their group was to meet for Small Group.
Wednesday, Sept. 23 (9:45pm)
Received a call about a “Pimp-Sighting” in Claremont, CA from Small Group Leader #5 of 7: The leader received a call (after Small Group) about his sister who lives under the same roof as he does. She had been t-boned in her car on her way home. She is ok but the car is not.
Thursday, Sept. 24 (2:30pm)
Received a call about a “Pimp-Sighting” in Chino Hills, CA from Small Group Leader #2 of 7: While at the dealership taking care of his dead battery because of corroded wiring . . . Leader #2 receives a call from his wife at work saying that her car is now completely dead too and will not start at all.
Tuesday, Sept. 29 (12:00pm)
Received an email about a “Pimp-Sighting” in Rancho Cucamonga, CA today from Small Group Leader #1 of 7. His email reported, “Not sure if this is irony or an attack or God teasing me or what, but after what happened to the leaders last week, and what I was saying for my prayer request, it is humorous in its own way: my car wouldn’t start (somehow my 2 year old battery died), and while trying to fix it the terminal (battery connector dealy) snapped, leaving my car dead in my garage, which had to be towed to the dealer in hopes the warranty will cover it. So I have no car for tonight and tomorrow and potentially a sucky bill. Anyway, pray about the car if you think about it.” -Man Group Member
