Man Group vs. Real Men
Dear men of Man Group, a challenge has been extended to all 45+ of us and we have no choice in backing down. Apparently Pastor John Dix is raising up his own army of “old guys,” calling them the Real Men Group. He has challenged the men of Man Group to a softball classic on Tuesday night, October 20th (6:00-9:00pm) to see who are the real men and who are the boys. Fight, Chapter Three: How fitting is this challenge?
If you have already read Chapter Three of FIGHT then this challenge comes exactly at the right time. Do you guys remember the fighter pilot dogfight story that Kenny wrote about? The younger/faster jet was shot down by a older/slower jet simply because age and experience win out against zeal. This is our chance to meet up with OTHER men’s groups at Grace and just have an all-out good time hanging out.
This may sound like an “old guys vs. new guys” match up but don’t be fooled, I’ve seen old guys crush a ball out of the park at Big League Dreams before. Talk amongst your individual Man Groups and then let’s rally together to build an excellent softball team and an excellent “smack-talking” bleacher-crowd.
